1. Overview

NJS Radio (“we”, “our”) operates the NJS RADIO mobile application (com.njsradio) and njsradio.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app, website, and streaming services.

2. Information We Collect

• Network & device state: Used to maintain the live audio stream, detect connectivity, and support casting (Chromecast / local network renderers).
• Device identifiers: Processed by Google Play services, Google Cast, and Google AdMob (advertising ID where available) for SDK functionality, ads, and measurement.
• Playback metadata: Track title and artist strings from the radio stream (ICY/Shoutcast) to display now-playing information and artwork lookups (iTunes, MusicBrainz, Cover Art Archive).
• Local preferences: Sleep timer settings, onboarding completion, ad frequency caps, and optional “Rate us” prompt counters stored on your device only.
• Website usage: If you browse njsradio.com, standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be recorded by our hosting provider.

3. How We Use Information

• Deliver and improve live radio playback and background audio.
• Show now-playing titles, artist names, and album art.
• Display and measure in-app advertisements (Google AdMob).
• Comply with Google Play Data Safety requirements and applicable privacy laws.

4. Third-Party Services

We may connect to: stream.njsradio.com, njsradio.com metadata APIs, Apple iTunes Search API, MusicBrainz / Cover Art Archive, Google Cast, Google AdMob, and local UPnP/DLNA devices on your Wi‑Fi. Each third party has its own policy.

5. Advertising

The App uses Google AdMob to display app open and native advertisements. AdMob and Google Play services may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data per Google’s policies. You can limit ad personalization in your Android device settings (Settings → Google → Ads). Our audio stream remains free of spoken commercial interruptions; visual ads appear only within the App interface.

6. Data Retention & Security

We do not operate a user account system. On-device data is retained until you clear app storage or uninstall. We use HTTPS for remote APIs where supported.

7. Your Rights

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes
